How Fair Market Value is determined
Fair Market Value is developed as of the assignment's effective date from relevant public and private market evidence. Analysis considers comparable property, quality, condition, provenance, exhibition history, rarity, demand, liquidity, and marketability. For collections, market absorption and blockage may also be considered when appropriate to the assignment.
